Fitted. Mini. Midi. Flounce. Structured. Girly. Glamourous. You name it and you got it. Here are the WIFW SS’15 highlights: Malini Ramani’s striped mini number with sheer detail was a head turner. Payal Pratap went breezy comfort with loose structures, knee and midi lengths but unusual prints and colour palettes. And we loved the structured mini number with mirror work and traditional embroidery by Rehane!
Play peek-a-boo in sexy sheer outfits. Personify elegance in Kavita Bhartia’s grey slit dress and Masaba’s white outfit. Add oomph to the traditional gown like Raakesh Agarvwal and Siddharth Tytler do. Aching for a bit of risqué? Malini Ramani and Prerna Bhardwaj show you how.
Think pastel and think minty fresh, light n lemony and meringue-y soft! Pastels make a familiar runway comeback this Spring-Summer. Manish Gupta does a baroque version with pastel skater dress while Rehane does a pastel on pastel casual affair. Aneeth Arora, opened the week with laidback pastel casual wear with flower detailing as the set turned into a little nursery. Dev R Nil combines pastel colours with exquisite, delicate detailing just apt for the wistful summer.
The slit is back! And we’re excited. One can only imagine the instant sensual lift it brings to a simple dress. The slit makes an evolution from the sides and the back, straight to the front with some irresistible key pieces. Anupama Dayal’s front-slit maxi-dresses are things of desire for the coming season. Lightweight wonders as these are, they add instant pizazz to the look. Nachiket Barve merges sheer, front-slit gowns with body-con upper halves. Samant Chauhan brings forth opulence in his embroidered front-slit capes.
