Startup 1: Offline By Happy Hour- Offline Social Events
Tanay Baweja and Aastha Sethi met on a solo trip to Manali and their love story gave birth to their brand, Offline By Happy Hour. Tanay was an introvert and a victim of struggles common to all boys on dating apps while Aastha was facing the problem of not meeting the right guy too. That’s when they decided to take the dating scene offline by hosting social events including singles’ dinners, singles’ mixers and singles’ fests. The Sharks really enjoyed listening to their love story and how they decided to go back to the conventional style of meeting in-person.
Did Offline By Happy Hour Get A Deal?
Several questions around safety, misconduct and more were raised by the Sharks. However, did anyone actually take interest in the happy hour ask of ₹50 lakhs for 5% equity?
Startup 2: KILLR Spices: Convenient Chicken Marinades
Hitesh Bhagia, the founder of KILLR Spices, started the brand at the age of 39 with a vision to build something of his own. Starting with just 5 marinades made at home, today KILLR Spices has several such marinades with biryani and curry masalas in the pipeline. The tongue-in-cheek names of each masala, from Achari Atyachaari to Lucknowi Tauncha, humored all the Sharks. His zeal and clarity was appreciated by Kunal.
Did KILLR Spices Get A Deal?
While the names definitely struck a chord with the Sharks, did Hitesh’s ask of ₹1 crore for 1% equity in the company strike a chord too?
Startup 3: Soundverse AI- AI-Powered Music Generation Platform
Founded by Sourabh Pateriya & Ash Pournouri, Soundverse is an AI-driven creator-first music generation platform that enables creators to compose songs as well as edit pre-written songs on the platform. The founders gave a demo of the AI platform by asking the Sharks to give them a few words and fed the same into Soundverse to generate a song on the spot. The Sharks were quite amazed at the final output despite being prompted with unrelated words.
Did Soundverse Get A Deal?
With an ask of ₹1.35 crore for 1.5% equity, were the founders able to make the Sharks sing their song and crack a deal?
