Heated discussions and tense debates seemed to have taken over the Shark Tank India floor. While investing in both small and big businesses alike, things tend to take a serious turn at times when Sharks enter an argument over certain pitches. There are definitely moments of humour and relief in between the number talk, today\u2019s episode showed that when the Sharks mean business, they actually mean it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, Kunal Bahl<\/a><\/strong>, founder of Snapdeal<\/a><\/strong> and Titan Capital<\/a><\/strong> to Ritesh Agarwal, CEO of OYO rooms and Anupam Mittal \u2013 founder of Shaadi.com, the panel had several top entrepreneurs on Shark seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone\u2019s trying to build a restoration business for the heritage sites of India while someone else is trying to restore that precious LV bag that you own. Shark Tank India Season 4\u2019s Episode 12 was nothing short of a treat to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping the spark alive in their pure silver jewellery just like their 9 year long marriage, this couple from Jaipur brought Shyle<\/a><\/strong> to the Shark Tank India stage. Run by Astha Katta and Radhesh Sirohiya, Shyle is a leading silver boutique store that employs local craftsman to create indigenous styles like rava and thappa for jewellery as well as other decorative items. A combination of traditional and contemporary art, their products impressed judges, especially Namita who was seen wearing their earrings and exclaiming how lightweight they are. While the Sharks showed a keen interest in the story of how they met, were they equally interested in their ask for Rs.70 lakhs for 1% equity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A three-generation leadership was an inspiration in itself when the three co-founders of Savana Heritage<\/a><\/strong> entered the Shark Tank India room. A business born out of the idea of restoring heritage sites in India, the Royal Opera House of Mumbai is one of their well-known projects. Passed on from one bhateeja to another, which amused the Sharks, their sales numbers made Anupam ask if he could be adopted as a bhateeja too? To this, Vineeta smartly replied, \u201cBefore that, you would need to be restored because you\u2019re a heritage property\u201d. Having received a UNESCO award for their Vikram Sarabhai Library restoration, will the Sharks grant their ask of Rs.3 Cr. for 1% equity? You\u2019ll have to watch to find out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same spirit of restoration but with a slightly different motive, Sneakinn<\/a><\/strong> sneaked into the pitching room. It\u2019s co-founders and school sweethearts, Arunima Jain and Sahil Jain, started their business even before they got married. Targeting the niche segment of luxury goods like bags, shoes, belts and wallets, the Gurugram-based couple felt a need to provide cleaning, colouring and restoration services for the same. Or as Anupam rightly put it, \u201cBimaar jooton ki laboratory\u201d. This sparked a tiff between Anupam and Ritesh as the latter went on to say, \u201cHumara yahan kuch bimaar, buzurg (old) awastha ke Sharks bhi hain\u201d. Anupam put a banger end to the conversation with, \u201cYeh toh pata lag gaya ki baap kaun hai\u201d. Did they manage to secure a deal of Rs.90 lakhs for 3% equity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
