The entrepreneurial spirit was in full swing during Episode 3 of Shark Tank India Season 4. This episode featured a diverse range of pitches, each aiming to secure investment from the esteemed panel of Sharks. The panel for this episode of Shark Tank India included Boat’s cool co-founder, Aman Gupta, Shaadi.com’s founder, Anupam Mittal, Lenskart’s tech savy founder Peeyush Bansal, Snapdeal’s co-founder Kunal Bahl and Vineeta Singh, co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics.
From stylish home office accessories to guilt-free ice cream, here’s Shark Tank India’s Day 3, featuring exciting pitches, memorable moments, and significant investments made by the sharks.
The first pitch came from Nooe, a lifestyle brand by Piyush and Neetica Pandey, offering sleek desk essentials and stationery products designed to bring “clutter to clarity.” With an ask of Rs.50 lakhs for 1% equity, the founders impressed the Sharks with their exceptional design and packaging, tailored entirely by them.
Despite praise for their products and potential in markets like Japan, Sharks Kunal, Vineeta, and Anupam had concerns about scalability and patience in building a brand while Aman Gupta and Peyush Bansal saw immense potential, sparking a bidding war.
Were they able to bag a deal? That’s something you’ll find out soon.
Next up was Go Zero, a revolutionary ice cream brand by Kiran Shah from Gujarat. He introduced his innovative ice cream brand, Go Zero, which offers zero sugar, zero guilt indulgence. Building on the legacy of his family’s 50-year-old Apsara Ice Cream, Kiran expanded the business from a single store to 100 locations before launching Go Zero in 2022. He set the tone for his pitch with, “Breakup ke baad ice cream khaoge toh dil tootega, guilt nahi!” emphasizing the guilt-free joy of enjoying ice cream. The brand offers vegan options, with 70% of its revenue from quick commerce. Kiran asked for Rs.1 crore for 1% equity.
The Sharks were impressed by the product, and offers quickly followed. Later, Kiran revealed that he was secretly hoping to get mentorship from a particular Shark. Did Mr Go Zero get his Hero? Guess you’ll have to watch the episode to find out.
The third pitch came from Zubair Bhatt and Shaikh Yammeen, founders of Curve Electric, an e-bike sharing system based in Srinagar. They asked for Rs.50 lakhs for 5% equity, with Zubair adding a humorous twist to their pitch, “Ek hi toh jannat bachi hai, usse jannat rehne dete hain!”, reflecting their commitment to preserving the environment. After noticing the alarming air quality in their city, the founders decided to start this venture to reduce pollution through electric bikes. The Sharks were impressed by the clarity of his business strategy.
While the founders’ precision in the reports amazed the sharks, proving their strong groundwork and the e-bike concept, where each bike costs Rs.30,000, seemed promising, the judges had reservations about its scalability and market potential. While Kunal shared some words of encouragement for him, did they translate into a Shark wali deal?
