Shark Tank India Season 4, Episode 4: Did The “Quick Commerce King” Seal Gud Ki Deal?

Tonight’s episode brought excitement and fresh energy to the tank as Lenskart’s founder Peyush Bansal, Boat’s co-founder, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics, and Shaadi.com’s founder  Anupam Mittal returned to the panel. Joining them was a new shark, Varun Dua, the visionary founder of Acko Insurance. His sharp insights and entrepreneurial spirit promised to elevate the competition.

From reinventing gud, the humble Indian jaggery to revolutionizing air, here’s a quick look at Day 4 of Shark Tank India season 4, featuring the most exciting pitches, captivating dialogues, and significant investments made by the Sharks.

The first pitch of the day was a sweet surprise for all the judges. Preeti Shinde and Sayli Shinde, the confident sister duo from Aurangabad and  the young founders of Gudworld

Their product? Pure, hygienic jaggery available in 12 unique flavours. Backed by a 40-year family legacy in jaggery manufacturing, they were set to redefine how India experiences this traditional delight.

The ask was Rs.50 lakhs for 2% equity, and the sharks were immediately intrigued. After tasting the product, the sharks were impressed, with Aman even joking, “Product toh apka gud hai!” The playful energy continued as Anupam offered Preeti his seat, admiring her confidence.

The heated negotiations sparked by a sweet treat were quite interesting to watch. As the tension mounted, the sharks laughed at the witty banter, with Aman remarking, “Good deal… good guy!” But who finally sealed a sweet deal? You’ll have to watch to find out.

The second pitch brought a pressing concern of air pollution to light. Ravi Kaushik and Abhimanyu Kumar introduced Airth, an innovation designed to tackle air pollution by turning regular ACs into super air purifiers with a small, less energy-consuming device which they claimed prevents up to 30 grams of dust—equivalent to four teaspoons—from entering our lungs each year.

The duo shared a journey full of twists and turns. Having started with standalone air purifiers that no one bought and jokingly saying, “Lagta hai sabko bas hawa hi pasand thi!”. They later pivoted the business to create a modular product adaptable to any AC and future plans to expand into car ACs and central air-conditioning for buildings.

The third pitch of the day brought Nitin Chawla from Ghaziabad with his brand, One Dios. He kicked things off with an engaging act, pretending to be a customer care representative, setting the stage for his pitch. A simple booking platform for complaints, document storage, and extended warranty purchases—all in just six clicks and 60 seconds.

With a request for Rs.75 lakhs for 1.5% equity, Nitin demonstrated the One Dios app, aiming to simplify customer service. The sharks were intrigued at first, but as the demo progressed, they started voicing concerns. “This feels too simplified… almost too much,” Varun remarked, pointing out the platform’s complexity.

The sharks were quick to raise red flags. The service offered seemed to be spread too thin, and the concept wasn’t resonating with them. Despite the energetic start to the pitch, do you think Nitin was able to keep the momentum going as the Shark grilled him to bits? Wait till you watch Episode 4 of Shark Tank India to reveal whether there was a deal or no deal?
