When it comes to Shark Tank, every pitch feels like a journey. Some founders board the train with confidence, while others are left at the station. Today’s episode was a National Startup Day special where it took that concept to another level with a match-off between two brands competing in the green living industry. The Sharks had to decide which brand had what it takes to move forward.
The Sharks for today’s episode were:
Namita Thapar – Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, Kunal Bahl, founder of Snapdeal and Titan Capital, Peyush Bansal, CEO of Lenskart and Anupam Mittal – founder of Shaadi.com.
In today’s Shark Tank episode, the heat was on as two innovative brands competed head-to-head in a high-stakes match-off. Both were on a mission to revolutionize the green living industry. Let’s dive into their pitches.
The first pitch came from Annu Grover, founder of Nurturing Green, with over 13 years of experience in the industry, Annu began with a dramatic gesture—handing out dead bouquets to the Sharks to emphasize why plants are a more sustainable gift. His inspiration came from a personal experience when he sent his mom a bouquet from the US, only to return home and find it discarded.

Nurturing Green focuses on personalized plant care with services like WhatsApp plant parenting videos and a lifetime warranty (plants can be replaced at 50% of the purchase price). Starting with gifting categories, the brand has now expanded into home décor and gardening solutions.
Annu asked for ₹1 crore in exchange for 1% equity. The Sharks admired the brand’s journey and quality, with Kunal even sharing that he had met Annu before and was impressed by his consistent updates. But as the buzzer rang, the decision was postponed until the next pitch.
The second pitch came from the dynamic brother duo Saksham Jain and Aagam Choudhary, founders of Kyari. Launched in 2022, this brand has already made waves, processing over 2,000 orders daily. Their goal is to make plant care a hassle-free part of every home.

Their standout innovation is a water meter that indicates when plants need watering and self-watering planters that require attention only once a week. They also impressed the Sharks by gifting planters personalized with each Shark’s brand logo—a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed.
The brothers asked for ₹80 lakh for 0.8% equity. Their energy and vision sparked interest, but questions about their business model and competition with Nurturing Green raised eyebrows. When Anupam grilled them with, “Why should I choose you over Nurturing Green?”
The buzzer rang and it was time for the decision.
The Match-Off Decision
With both pitches done, the Sharks faced a tough call. Each brand had its strengths, Nurturing Green brought experience and quality, while Kyari dazzled with innovation and passion. The room was filled with tension as the Sharks began deliberating.
For Nurturing Green, questions about scalability arose, but the founder’s emotional connection to his brand left an impression. When asked who he thought would win, Annu confidently replied, “Obviously me”
For Kyari, the Sharks admired their hunger and creativity but had concerns about their financial structure. Heavy negotiations followed, and offers were made to both brands.
Who Boarded the Train?
With the Sharks divided, today’s match-off ended on a cliffhanger. Who received the final handshake? Did Nurturing Green’s years of experience win the day, or did Kyari’s fresh approach steal the spotlight?
As the buzzer sounded, one thing was clear—this could be the most important deal of either brand’s life. But to find out who sealed the deal, you’ll have to wait to watch the episode!
