I work in the supply chain management team as the team lead. My journey with Snapdeal has been a journey of personal ups and downs. I’ve been with Snapdeal since 2015. My mother passed away on my 2nd day after joining Snapdeal, which made me question whether starting my job here was the right thing to do. I had lost my father in 1999 and suddenly the entire responsibility of the family was thrust upon me. My mind was full of negative thoughts at the time. I found an extremely supportive team here as they helped me cope with and overcome one of the toughest moments in my life. Looking back, I feel that joining Snapdeal was perhaps the best decision.
Working here has helped me build my confidence professionally. I won the Rockstar award in March, 2018 for fulfilling my goals on time. Overall I’ve learned a lot about new processes, and improved my financial knowledge. The best part about my work here is that apart from the accountability and responsibility that I get, I also get adequate support from my managers to fulfill my responsibilities successfully. I’m now pursuing an MBA along with my work to take my career to the next level.
I’m also happy to share that I’ve recently got married. My family is proud of my work and progress at Snapdeal. In my journey, I’ve been able to support myself and my family due to the support I’ve received from my team here. I’ve made friends for life.
I feel that you should believe in yourself, and think and feel positive to achieve your goals in life. It’s all about being positive and moving forward.
