I have been a part of the technology team at Snapdeal since 2016. It continues to be an amazing journey for me. As a fresher, the exposure to real-time systems and the tech platform at Snapdeal accelerated my learning. One of the best things about working at Snapdeal is that you get the freedom to choose your projects. Even if you are not part of that team or project, you can move to that project and work on it. In case a particular project is of interest, you can request joining the team. In the last year, I’ve worked on automation systems, which have overall saved a lot of costs for the company.
One of the most valuable things for me personally is the time I’m given to learn new technologies. Apart from working on new projects, we are given a lot of time to learn new technologies. This has overall helped me build on my skill set. I’ve learned about a lot of new technologies. I was earlier working on JAVA only. I am getting to learn a lot about Spark, and other new technologies like Aerospike, Kafka. For techies, Snapdeal is a great place to work providing ample opportunity, ownership and great exposure to new technologies.
